This high-performance thermoplastic polymer is engineered for demanding environments requiring critical impact resistance and optimal light transmission. It serves as a superior alternative to mineral glass and PMMA in configurations exposed to severe mechanical stress.

Industrial Specifications and Advantages

• Impact Resistance: Exceptional resilience, rated as virtually unbreakable (up to 250 times the strength of glass of equivalent thickness). Ideal for areas at risk of high-velocity projections or vandalism.

• Thermal Properties: Continuous service temperature ranging from -40°C to +100°C. Low thermal expansion coefficient compared to other engineering plastics.

• Machining and Forming: Excellent suitability for sawing, drilling, and milling without risk of cracking. Supports thermoforming and cold curving (minimum bend radius of 150 times the thickness).

• Optical Stability: Light transmission near 90%. Co-extruded UV protection on one or both sides to prevent molecular degradation and yellowing.

Installation Recommendations

Technical Note: During installation, it is imperative to account for thermal expansion (approx. 2 mm/m for indoor use; refer to the technical data sheet) within the profiles. Use only compatible neutral-cure silicone sealants to prevent chemical reactions (crazing).
