Our CNC cutting service allows you to make a custom cut in the material of your choice.
In order to be able to make your part, you must design your DXF file according to certain instructions.
In the event that these design instructions are not respected, we will not be able to process your order.
If you have any doubts about the feasibility of your part, contact us.
Good design!
Rule #1:
1 DXF file = 1 piece.
Only the front view needs to be drawn.
Your file should only have one layer.
Do not represent side views or sectional views.
Rule #2:
Your file should be exported in mm and at 1:1 scale
Rule #3:
Keep your file as simple as possible:
- no odds
- no lines of symmetry
- no filling
- no frames/cartridge
Contour lines should be as thin as possible (0.2mm or less).
The contours must be closed.
Rule #4:
Inside corners cannot be cut at right angles due to the radius of the cutter.
However, there is no need to draw this radius and you can draw your interior corners at right angles.
The radius thus remaining will be 2 mm for materials with thicknesses of 3 to 5 mm.
Rule #5:
The recessed areas must be large enough for cutting with a 4 mm diameter cutter.
Thus we cannot make holes smaller than a diameter of 4 mm.
This rule is valid for any internal cutting.
For this same reason, it is not recommended to have letters cut out, especially for small sizes.
Rule #6:
Avoid leaving areas that are too thin and therefore too fragile for your pieces.
The thinnest walls should be greater than the thickness of the material.
The risk is a breakage of your part during machining.
Rule #7:
As standard, we cannot produce chamfers, countersunk holes or spot faces.
