Open timing belt for linear or rotary motion transmission via toothed pulleys. Used in motion control mechanisms requiring positioning accuracy, notably on linear axes of CNC machines and 3D printers.

This is an open belt rather than an endless loop: it is cut to the required length, with its ends fixed to the moving carriage, typically via a clamp plate.
