Plexiglas (PMMA) sheets

Plexiglas (PMMA) sheets There are 2 products.

General features of plexiglas (PMMA) :

● Exceptional transparency

● Rigid

● Unreactive to many chemical agents

● UV- and weather-resistant

● Good shapeability and transformability

● No optical or mechanical change over time

  • Extruded plexiglas

What is the difference between cast and extruded plexiglas (PMMA)?

    Cast plexiglas:

    - exceptional optical transmission (greater light transmission than glass, transparency, clearness, shine).

    - smooth, shiny look on the surface.

    - excellent resistance to U.V., corrosion and atmospheric factors.

    - lightness: density of 1.19g/cm3 (much lighter than glass).

    - can be machined, cut, drilled, engraved, polished, glued, thermoformed and screen printed easily.

    Extruded plexiglas:

    - very good optical properties (light transmission, transparency, shine).

    - excellent resistance to atmospheric elements.

    - density of 1.19g/cm3.

    - Transformation: apt for thermoforming, ideal for screen printing, some constraints with machining.
